STABILO are an international writing instruments manufacturer, originating in the Black Forrest region of Germany, who have been renowned for high quality products for over 150 years.

STABILO became well known for our fine art materials, until in the 1970s we created the world’s first highlighter - the STABILO BOSS original. Since its creation it has been the number one selling brand in Europe, and a household name.

In the late 1990s STABILO decided to rebrand ourselves and move away from focusing just on office products and start looking at products for children. It is now our aim to produce products that actively help children when learning how to write and draw, as well as provide a bit of fun while doing. All our products are designed with children in mind, so have strong bright colours and interesting shapes, however each strange curve has a function behind it and nothing is made to simply “look pretty”. In 2003 we launched the STABILO’s move easy - the world’s first left and right handed handwriting pen, which has helped children all over the country to improve their grip and write comfortably.

STABILO products stand for design, trends and lifestyle. Whereas in the past the main focus was on the pens’ technological features, such as the amount of ink and the line thickness, the needs and wants of those who write, highlight or draw with a STABILO are now central to product development from the very beginning. This results in innovative and high-quality products perfectly suited to modern lifestyles, especially to those of young people.
