From to do… to done

Re-using is better than recycling: Esselte produces high quality products under the Esselte and Leitz brands, which ensure high durability and long lasting usage. This is a key factor to ease the environmental burden.
Whenever quality and functionality allows we use recycled materials to produce our products. To ease the recycling of these products we try to avoid a mixture of materials and make sure, that the materials used do not include harmful substances.
Most of our products can therefore be easily recycled, if they are fed to the existing recycling circles. Recycling is the reprocessing of materials into new products. Recycling prevents useful material resources being wasted, reduces the consumption of raw materials and reduces energy usage.
Production technology is state of the art in terms of environmental standards. Our European factories are certified according to ISO 14001. Our suppliers have to confirm that they meet Esselte environmental guidelines.
We always try to minimise packaging volume. The used packaging can be recycled if it is fed in the existing recycling circles. Our strategy is: Minimise - Reuse - Recycle.
