Ready to write - and ready for use everywhere - even upside down! Tombow's Airpress Pen

posted on January 27, 2009

Have you ever try to write horizontally, overhead for a period of time, in a dusty environment or on wet paper with a “normal” ballpoint pen?

The gravity and the lack of pressure in the ink-lead make this virtually impossible. The Tombow technicians have successfully addressed this problem by using complex testing and have developed the “AirPress Pen”, which has worldwide-patented technology.

The patented AirPress-technique

One “Click” and the red bolt in the flagpole “runs” into the white pump and drywell respectively. The disappearing air then streams into the ink-lead and prevents the backflow of the ink.

The perfect writing instrument for outdoor persuits, hobbies, school and business use!

The AirPress Pen is the perfect writing instrument for all situations in which the ballpen is not going to be used in a normal environment, for example, for writing on wall hanging marketing plans or storage rack labeling. The AirPress Pen is perfect for warehouse staff, architects and construction workers.

You can fix the AirPress Pen with its tough metal clip onto the lapel of a jacket, a suit pocket or other working clothes. Due to the little ear at the end of the flagpole one can fix the pen with a string to a rucksack for example. Additionally the AirPress Pen is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts. The rubberized grip ensures a comfortable and safe hold even if held with wet fingers or gloves.

With the introduction of this innovative all rounder, which has a worldwide, patented AirPress technique, Tombow demonstrates that the function of writing instruments has not been complete until now.
