“This huge new marketing initiative is probably our most important ever. We’re not just replacing our worldwide big seller Supreme with a new distinctive design. We’re doing it in conjunction with the launch of two completely unique technical innovations,” says Torbjörn Sagerström, Sales Manager, Rapid.

The S17 and S27 staplers are two big sellers from Rapid that can be found on desks all over the world. They have, in fact, positioned Rapid as one of the world leaders in the stapling sphere. And Rapid is now replacing these two Supreme models, and the hole punches from the Supreme Collection, with completely new models.

“Just like in the car industry and other function and design-driven industries, the leading manufacturers are the ones who dare to update or replace their popular models. They’re the ones who have the courage to invest in new designs, even though their current models are still big sellers. And I think customers and consumers shouldn’t feel that’s too much to expect,” says Sagerström.

The new Supreme Collection has a very modern and elegant design. It is clear that Rapid has taken a lot of trouble to produce a design idiom that exudes exclusivity and purity of style in its lines and finish. Everything has been worked out in minute detail. And the launch of the new Supreme Collection will also see the world premiére for two technical innovations - SuperFlatClinch™ and Press Less™ - innovations that make these staplers and hole punches far superior to the competition. SuperFlatClinch™ flattens the staple and reduces the thickness of the stapled area by all of 40%. No other manufacturer can offer this level of performance. Press Less™ technology lets the user staple or punch through a bunch of papers without having to exert more than a minimum of force.

“Supreme provides an extraordinary experience, both aesthetically and functionally, and we are convinced that people will find the designs and the two innovations to be both pleasing and helpful. I mean, who hasn’t been irritated by the way a stack of documents on their desk starts to swell up where they’ve been stapled and start leaning over like a downhill ski run. On top of which, flatter documents take up less room in files. So instead of ten files, you only need six.”

Stapling or hole punching with Press Less™ saves your hand because you don’t have to press down so hard. Stapling or punching 30 sheets, for instance, requires 50% less force than with the standard technology. And this is the sort of performance that makes Press Less™ technology the most efficient on the market.

“Our focus group tests have given the new models top marks for quality, design, functions and performance. So we’re absolutely convinced that the forth generation of Supreme will be even more popular than the previous collections,” concludes Torbjörn Sagerström.

All the products in the new Supreme Collection incorporate technology than no other compe-titor has. The S1, S27, S17, S50 and S30 staplers all come equipped with SuperFlatClinch™, a technology that reduces the swell effect at stapled corners by a further 10% - from today’s 30% reduction - to all of 40%.
