Crème 2008 13-15 May, London Olympia, Stand No. 604

John Dickinson, the UK’s leading stationery supplier, will be focusing on the growing importance of the environment on its stand at this year’s Crème. Taking centre-stage in its usual stand at the entrance to the exhibition, John Dickinson will be showcasing products from Basildon Bond that demonstrate its commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.

Illustrating that stationery purchasers do not have to scrimp on quality when buying eco-conscious products, John Dickinson will present its recently launched range of stylish recycled notepads, One Chance, as well as showcase its excellent Basildon Bond recycled business envelopes.

Jane Rowe, marketing director at John Dickinson comments: “Ensuring the sustainability of paper based products is vitally important to John Dickinson. And while we’re continually increasing the recycled lines within our notebook and envelope portfolio, we also ensure that the virgin paper used across our brands comes from sustainably managed forests. PAs and office managers can feel confident that if they’re choosing a John Dickinson brand, they’re making an environmentally responsible choice for their office.”

One Chance

John Dickinson has proved with One Chance that being environmentally conscious does not mean compromising on quality. This striking and unique set of recycled notebooks focus on the plight of a number of endangered species, yet retain the high quality expected of Basildon Bond.

Launched in January 2008 and available in A4+ and A5+ twin-wire formats, One Chance challenges the traditional perceptions that recycled stationery features inferior paper and uninspiring designs. The high impact photographic covers feature endangered creatures, all of whom are at risk of extinction in the wild due to habitat loss or the effects of climate change.

The One Chance range is more than just a recycled option — the notebooks encourage users to look at ways of reducing their impact on the environment. They feature a double sided information sheet containing details on the cover species, tips for living a greener lifestyle and eye-opening statistics highlighting the importance of recycling.

Unbelievably green, unmistakably Basildon Bond

John Dickinson’s stand this year will feature the massively successful Envelopad, Basildon Bond’s answer for the eco-friendly consumer. Comprising 50 white DL envelopes in a pad, Envelopad is made from 100% recycled paper. In addition to a superb quality recycled paper, the window film on all of the window envelopes, while perfectly clear, is 100% biodegradable, made from corn, not petrochemicals. This means that even the window envelopes in the range can be fully recycled.

Envelopes can be peeled off as required with no gum residue left on the envelope edge, and the wraparound cover keeps them protected when stored in a desk drawer. To make life even easier, there’s a slot on the back cover for storing stamps. The white envelopes in the Basildon Bond Recycled range all use 100gsm paper that is exceptionally smooth and white and the manila use 90gsm paper.
