Stationery expert BIC® is adding two exciting new products to its range of mechanical pencils, the AI™ Mechanical Pencil and Quantech™ Mechanical Pencil.

Both products offer innovative technology at an affordable price and provide further depth to BIC's category range which is outperforming the market.

The UK mechanical pencil market showed a 3% value growth and 10% unit growth last year. BIC was the driving brand in the market with a double digit growth in both value and units of 16% and 28% respectively.

The AI™ Mechanical Pencil offers fantastic style and comfort. Users can choose between three systems to advance the lead: click, shake or automatic.

The stylish, ergonomically designed barrel has a comfortable grip and an eraser end with a cap. Available in both 0.5mm and 0.7mm lead, the AI™ Mechanical Pencil offers users ease of use and comfortable writing.

Also new for 2009 is the Quantech™ Mechanical Pencil, a premium alternative designed for professionals looking for precision and style at a highly competitive price.
