Going Green In The Office

Going Green in the office is easier than you think. A few changes can lead to big improvements at your work, or even contribute to saving money from the company budget. The boss will be pleased with you!

There’s a government-run eco-advice service for businesses called Envirowise who encourage office workers to think more about reducing their waste and recycling at work. One initiative they run is a One Bin Day every February.

The idea is to lose the bin that sits comfortably under your work desk and move it into a central location. Not only does the act of getting up from your chair make you more likely to think about whether or not you can recycle it, but it also acts as a mini break from the computer screen. You never know who you’ll meet at the bin for a gossip!

Go one step further and have a small composter in the kitchen. The compost produced can grow plants to make the office space more green and gorgeous. Or register with The Ripple Effect to reduce water usage and save money!

For an easier recycling option check out the range of recycled products from Oxford like this Oxford npad Friendly Recycled Notepad.
